«I’m suggesting that gender studies asks us to rethink the way we know our world. I’m proposing that it is a mode of inquiry that asks us to consider how the relations of power and possibility by which the world is structured involves something called gender understood as an embodied structured set of relationships».

Judith Butler reflects on gender that is not just gender identity but rather an historically changing arrangement of a set of embodied social categories subject to normative power that have to be grasped as Dynamic and relational.
